# Contribute to Signal Android Development

> Help improve Signal by reporting bugs, joining the beta, translating, or contributing code. Engage with the community on GitHub and Signal Users Forums.

Signal is an open-source project maintained by Signal Messenger, LLC, and it thrives on community contributions. Whether you want to report a bug, improve translations, test new features early, or submit code changes, there are many ways to get involved.

## Report Bugs

If you encounter a bug in Signal Android, open an issue on the official GitHub repository. Before creating a new issue, search the existing issues to avoid duplicates.
